How does it work?
Doctors who are enrolled in a medical residency program accredited by the National Medical Residency Commission and in a medical specialty defined by the SUS as a priority, are entitled to an extended grace period from FIES to suspend the contract’s repayment installments while they are attending residency. The extended grace period does not affect the total term of the loan. The suspension period is added to the end of the contract and allows you to dedicate yourself fully to your specialization and build a solid foundation for your medical career.
